Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information through our website and the applications and services we own and operate (together, “our apps”), including Habitun.
We aim to keep this policy accurate for all of our apps. Where an app treats data differently, we note that below.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run the product you choose to use.
On your device (default)
Habit data—habits, completions, reminders, categories, and settings—is stored locally on your device. You can export and import a backup file yourself.
Account and sync (optional, Premium)
If you sign in to sync across devices, we process:
- Google account identifiers needed for sign-in (such as email address and a user ID)
- Habit-related content you choose to sync (habits, completions, reminders, categories, and related metadata)
Sync is optional and intended for Premium subscribers. Signing out does not delete local data on your device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We receive purchase entitlement status from Google so we can unlock Premium features. We do not store your full payment card details.
We do not collect (in Habitun)
- Advertising ID
- Precise location
- Analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that send usage data to us
- Ad network data
We do not show ads in Habitun.
How We Use Your Data
We use information only to:
- Provide and improve app functionality (including local tracking and optional cloud sync)
- Authenticate you when you choose to sign in
- Manage Premium entitlements and sync across your devices
- Respond when you contact us for support
We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention and Protection
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
Synced data is retained while your account uses sync, and for as long as needed to provide that service. We protect data in transit using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for sync and account features.
Sharing Information
We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties for advertising.
Service providers that process data on our behalf solely to operate features you use may include:
- Google — Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, and Firebase (Authentication / Firestore) for optional sync
We may disclose information if required by law.
Third-Party Links and Services
Our website or apps may link to external sites or rely on platform services (such as Google Play). Those services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
Your Choices
- You can use Habitun without signing in; habits stay on your device.
- You can turn sync off, sign out, or avoid Premium features that require an account.
- You can export a backup and delete local data by clearing app data or uninstalling.
- Declining optional account features may limit sync across devices.
If you need help deleting synced account data, see our account deletion page or contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s Privacy
Our apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of providing children’s services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of our website or apps after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
